- BANK ACCOUNT MONTHLY RECONCILIATION STATEMENTS
Financial probity recommends monthly reconciliation of the Town Council’s accounts. (‘E’ – to follow)
- BUDGET PREPARATION 2019/20 TIMETABLE
Following the Budget Seminar, held on 5th December 2018, work is ongoing on developing the draft budget for 2019/20.
Notes from the Seminar are attached to this agenda. (‘F’)
A copy of the draft budget has been circulated to all Members and comments have been requested. This is also attached. (‘G’)
As per the draft timetable presented to the Finance Committee meeting on 15th October 2018, Members are asked to approve the following as the agreed timetable for the 2019/20 budget setting process: –
20th December 2018 Draft budget formally issued
From 21st December 2018 Political group discussions on draft budget and public consultation
W/c 1st January 2019 Clerk to be notified of amendments to the draft budget from political groups and public feedback. Details of comments will be included with agenda for Finance Committee meeting on 21st January 2019
W/c 7th January 2019 Each political group will be invited to make a budget statement before Finance Committee considers the draft budget for 2019/20 at the Finance Committee meeting on 21st January 2019
18th February 2019 Town Council formally ratifies recommendations from the Finance Committee and approves 2019/20 budget and levies precept
RECOMMENDATION: The Finance Committee is recommended to agree the proposal for the budget preparation timetable as set out above.

To approve or otherwise the minutes of the meeting of the Grants Sub Committee held on 5th December 2018 (‘H’).
