  1. ACCOUNTS FOR APPROVAL

Schedule ‘B’ lists payments made since the last meeting (no list)

Schedule ‘C’ lists accounts for approval at this meeting

Schedule ‘D’ lists supplementary accounts for approval

 

  1. BANK ACCOUNT MONTHLY RECONCILIATION STATEMENTS

Financial probity recommends regular reconciliation of the Town Council’s accounts. (‘E’)

 

  1. TRANSFER FROM REVENUE TO CAPITAL

 Members will note that a number of transactions during the 2017/18 financial year related to capital items.

These items were: –

1505 Drains work on Guildhall      £1,284.00 (net £1,070.00)

1823 Drains work on Guildhall      £6,085.20 (net £5,071.00)

1840 Work on Marina Building      £9,066.56 (net £7,555.47)

1856 Wetpour for Meadowbank   £2,490.00 (net £2,075.00)

Invoices for these items were met from the revenue account for ease of reclaiming VAT but the total net amount should now be reimbursed to the revenue account from capital.

RECOMMENDED:

Members asked to approve the transfer of the total net sum of £15,771.47 from capital to the Council’s revenue account.

 

  1. MILK TENDERS

To report for information that tenders for the provision of mid-morning school milk for the next two academic years April 2018 – March 2020 were opened by the Town Mayor, the Chair and the Vice-Chair of Finance on 1st March 2018.

Three tenders were received and the tender of Tomlinson’s Dairies in the sum of £0.71 per litre, fixed for the 2 year period 18th April 2018 – 31st March 2020, was accepted on the grounds that it was the lowest quote, offered the best value and was a reflection of the excellent service provided by the dairy over the previous two years.

 

  1. GRANTS SUB-COMMITTEE

The Minutes of the Grants Sub-Committee held on 14th March 2018 are attached for ratification. (‘F’)

 

  1. EXCLUSION OF PRESS AND PUBLIC

 Due to their confidential nature, Members may decide to exclude the press and public from the meeting during consideration of the following matter in accordance with section 1 (2) of the Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960.

The reports relating to this item has been withheld from public circulation and deposit.
