The Town Council's Crest

The shield is divided into four quarters.
Top left has a red background and broad black border containing golden circles. It has three Royal Leopards and Bishop's crosier; the badge of Vale Royal Abbey.
Top right has a blue background with three corn sheaves; part of the arms of Cheshire.
Bottom left has a white background with three early dripping salt pans.
Bottom right has a red background with a grey turretted castle upon which stands a rampant lion and on each side three growing wheat plants, all standing on a green knoll; from the Verdin family arms.
Above the shield is a silver mace. Below the shield is the Latin motto "Cassis Tutittisima Virtus"; Virtue is the safest defence.
